Step up Caveman. Yes, yes, we have yet another Brooklyn band throwing their brand of psych-pop into the NY scene melting pot. Exaltations and plaudits aside, this is my kind of band. Caveman have a great vibe and sound that deserves to be heard by a wider audience. Here’s hoping that off the back of tours with esteemed acts Wye Oak and The War On Drugs, that is just what will happen. So far Caveman’s debut release “Coco Beware” has been released digitally but cd and vinyl releases are finally due out on Magic Man! Records on 15th November. “Coco Beware” is awash with hazy, dream-like melodies and synths. It’s a lush, honest, effortlessly delicate piece of work which grabs hold of the listener and takes them on a psychedelic hike through the senses.

It’s a must-have listen and Caveman are definitely gonna worm their way into your hearts. Dare I say it, is this a shoo-in for for a place on my end-of-the-year list?
