His fucking voice.
That fucking song.
This fucking band.
I don’t understand how you couldn’t love them, I swear to god.
my doods! caveman, wonderful boys wonderful tunes. they’re actually playing a show tonight @ the BK Museum! 7pm free/ suggested donation if any of y’all are in the area. there will be vibes of all kinds.
the Beastie Boys are such a fundamental part of New York culture. this is truly heartbreaking. RIP Adam Yauch. we’re feeling it.
Step up Caveman. Yes, yes, we have yet another Brooklyn band throwing their brand of psych-pop into the NY scene melting pot. Exaltations and plaudits aside, this is my kind of band. Caveman have a great vibe and sound that deserves to be heard by a wider audience. Here’s hoping that off the back of tours with esteemed acts Wye Oak and The War On Drugs, that is just what will happen.
So far Caveman’s debut release “Coco Beware” has been released digitally but cd and vinyl releases are finally due out on Magic Man! Records on 15th November. “Coco Beware” is awash with hazy, dream-like melodies and synths. It’s a lush, honest, effortlessly delicate piece of work which grabs hold of the listener and takes them on a psychedelic hike through the senses.
It’s a must-have listen and Caveman are definitely gonna worm their way into your hearts. Dare I say it, is this a shoo-in for for a place on my end-of-the-year list?
seriously, give these boys a listen.
MY FRIENDS NEED YOUR HELP! 10 DAYS LEFT TO BACK THIS SENSATIONAL PROJECT!
Let’s just be glad the place wasn’t torn down to build a Duane Reade condo (yet). (via New Restaurant & Bar Openings: Cafe de La Esquina At The Wythe Diner, East End Kitchen And More: Gothamist)
I’m hearing great things. ugh, I can’t wait!
